Turner&#8217;s first three scores came on consecutive drives after Rowland took a 3-0 lead with a 34-yard field goal by Brandt Davis.<\/p>\n<p>Although Rowland scored on an 80-yard pass from George Campos to Alec Winters, the Raider ground game was effectively hamstrung in the first half, gaining only 10 yards on 12 rushing plays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PACIFIC<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Pasadena 35, Glendale 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs opened Pacific league play and looked like a new team as they neutralized the Nitros. Friday night at Moyse Field, ending their three-game losing streak.<\/p>\n<p>Torus Stepney scored two touchdowns as part of his 121 rushing yards, while sophomore quarterback Caleb Devine, taking over for the injured Brandon Cox, contributed a touchdown of his own in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>The Nitros had a chance to score in the waning moments of the game, however they were stopped at the Bulldogs&#8217; one-yard line with 12 seconds left in the game, But time ran out before the Nitros could get a play off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Muir 36, Crescenta Valley 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs scored touchdowns on four one-play drives as they opened Pacific League play with a shutout of the Falcons Friday night at Muir High.<\/p>\n<p>After a scorless first quarter Andreece Brown took a pass from Josh Muema-Washington andescaped two tackles for a 56-tard touchdown. Then Taeon Mason took a hand-off 18 yards for another Mustang score, putting them up 14-0 at the half. Brown would also score on a 96-yard run late in the fourth.<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs rolled up 374 yards of offense, while the Falcons managed only 63 yards. Muema-Washington went 15 of 23 for 183 yards and Brown added 124 yards on nine carries for the win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUBURBAN<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Mayfair 28, Artesia 27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Monsoons weathered a comeback by the Pioneers as they held on for the win to open play in the Suburban League Friday night at Ron Yary Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The Pioneers&#8217; Ari Claro attempted a 40-yard field goal with 53.4 seconds left in the game, however, Claro&#8217;s kick hit the right upright, preserving the Monsoon lead as they closed out the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Pioneers had taken a 21-14 lead into the half but Monsoon quarterback Isaiah. Jackson tied the game at the start of the second half with a 14-yard pass to Aaron Minor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Habra 32, Gahr 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 32-minute scoring drought by the Gladiators helped end their three-game winning streak as they ended their nonleague schedule with a loss to the Highlanders Friday night at Gahr High.<\/p>\n<p>The Highlanders racked up 431 yards of offense as they snapped their own three-game slide. Quarterback Sean Sparling completed 11 of 17 passes for 170 and threw three touchdowns, including two scores to Christian Casas, who caught nine passes for 188 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Kline&#8217;s streak of 100+ yard games ended as well as he was held to just 77 yards on 15 carries.<br \/>\nQuarterback Caleb Baumann managed one touchdown, to Christian Pabico, which ended the scoring drought with four minutes left in the third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Montebello 20, Pioneer 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 20-yard pass to Edgar Gonzalez put the Oilers on top for good as they held off the Titans Friday night at Titan Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Oiler quarterback Matthew Saenz threw for 199 yards on 25 passes, including two touchdown throws.
