With the win\u00a0the Mustangs improved to 6-0 in the Pacific League.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->It was all Muir from the get go as\u00a0the Mustangs raced out to a 17-0 first quarter lead. Andres Brown set up the first score\u00a0with a 61 yard run down to the Arcadia 13 yard line.\u00a0Jorge Castro capped the dirve with a 27 yard field goal. Later in the quarter, the Mustangs struck quick. After forcing an Apache turnover,\u00a0Muema-Washington hit Mason Taeon for a 41 yard touchdown and a 10-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p>On Muir&#8217;s next possession, lightning struck\u00a0again. Marceles Clash, (yeah Clash!) took a short screen pass, got a block at the line of scrimmage and raced 75 yards for a touchdown\u00a0and while the Arcadia faithful\u00a0were still finding parking spots on Duarte Road it was 17-0 Mustangs.<\/p>\n<p>The Apaches\u00a0held Muir scoreless\u00a0in the second quarter\u00a0but couldn&#8217;t get anything going offensively\u00a0themselves against Muir&#8217;s stout defense.<\/p>\n<p>In the second\u00a0half, Muir picked it\u00a0right up again.\u00a0The Stangs marched\u00a056 yards on nine plays\u00a0with Lamarr McDaniels\u00a0catching a six yard bullet from Muema-Washington\u00a0to finish it. Early in the fourth,\u00a0Muir took advantage of yet another Arcadia turnover. A 47 yard drive ended with a three yard Muema-washington touchown toss to Mark Samuels for a 31-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Muema-washington completed 13 of 21 for 258 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.\u00a0He completed passes to seven different receivers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have the weapons and we\u00a0decided we want to use them instead of focusing on one or two guys,&#8221; said Muir Coach John Hardy. &#8220;We have a lot of talent on this team.\u00a0We don&#8217;t have stars, we have a lot of good players and we want to start making people aware of everybody so we can\u00a0kind of dicate what we want to do to them. Josh has been doing that since he was a freshman for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs added a late touchdown in the fourth when sophomore Devin Leagons got loose and\u00a0scampered 20 yards for a score.<\/p>\n<p>Arcadia struggled all night offensively turning the ball over six times including one on a fumbled punt\u00a0that led to the last Muir score.\u00a0Joey Willm caught three passes for\u00a070 yards but everybody else was held in check.\u00a0Arcadia gained just 34 yards on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>For the Mustangs, Clash had two receptions for 81 yards,\u00a0Taeon had three for 59, and\u00a0Brown combined for\u00a0nearly\u00a0100 yards rushing and receiving.<\/p>\n<p>Muir will try to finish\u00a0off a perfect league run next week\u00a0against Pasadena in the Turkey Tussle.\u00a0The Mustangs are\u00a06-3 overall.
