SG scored first taking a 6-0 lead in the opening quarter\u00a0before the Lancers\u00a0bounced back to\u00a0to score twice in the second and forge the halftime tie. They then broke it open\u00a0in the third.<\/p>\n
The Matadors had a shot to tie it at the end of the contest but sophomore linebacker Erik Galicia made a huge stop of a San Gabriel receiver\u00a0at the goal line as the clock ran out.<\/p>\n
