Twas the night before December, when all through the Mid
\nEvery Paraclete fan was stirring, so Greenie he hid.
\nTheir Banners were hung on the fences with care,
\nIn hopes that the Cats would cough up some hair.<\/p>\n
The fans were nestled all snug in the stands,
\nWhile packets of warmers fit nice in their hands.
\nAnd mamma in her \u2018kerchief, and I in my cap,
\nWere regretting those burritos and in need of a cra_.<\/p>\n
When out on the field there arose such a clatter,
\nI sprang from the seat to see what was the matter.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen rain
\nMade the lustre of mid-day objects look plain.
\nWhen, what to my wondering eyes should I see,
\nBut a Mid Valley Staffer, his initials T.P.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s a Monrovia fan, to his seat he went quick,
\nAt the end of the first quarter he really looked sick.
\nMore rapid than eagles Paracletes touchdowns they came,
\nAnd he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!<\/p>\n
\u201cNow Frazier! now, Ainsworth now, Walsh and Craft!\u201d
\nTried to stop them they did but the Spirits just laughed.
\nOver top of ther defenders! Underneath with a screen!
\nNow break away tackles! Enough he has seen.<\/p>\n
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
\nWhen they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
\nSo out to their cars the reporters they did storm,
\nTo spread the word of this beating by a coach named Norm<\/p>\n
