I never thought the Tennessee Titans would start 0-3 this season.<\/span><\/p>\n For those complaining about the inappropriateness of the Angels celebrating their A.L. West title with champagne and dowsing a Nick Adenhart jersey…get a grip. Remember Adenhart wasn\u2019t a drunk or drunk…It was the drunk driver the other car that killed him.<\/span><\/p>\n With 532-yards rushing in four games Charter Oak’s Adam Muema is only a bad defense or two from going over a thousand this season. <\/span><\/p>\n I like Randy Wolf, big fan of the Wolfman, but what does it tell you about the downward spiral of your season if he is slated to your number one starter when the playoffs start?<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s like a horror movie when I think of the Colorado Rockies; \u201cJim Tracy Has Risen From the Grave!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Isn\u2019t the Buccaneers quarterback of future supposed to be Josh Freeman not Josh Johnson?<\/span><\/p>\n On this date on 1993 Bassett\u2019s Jose Sanchez ran for 245-yard and three touchdowns, quarterback Archie Kahanu went 14 of 17\u00a0 as the Olympians rolled to a 35-21 victory over San Gabriel. For Gary Gonzalez\u2019s Matadors the loss came a week after snapping their 35-game LOSING<\/strong> streak with a 6-0 victory over Mt. View. SG was led by quarterback Javier Mercado who thew for two and ran for one. <\/span><\/p>\n Bassett, under first year HC Leon Ward, improved to 2-2.<\/span><\/p>\n On this same date in 1976\u00a0 at North Field; Rosemead shutout Temple City 14-0. Tim McNutt ran 76-yards for a score and threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Brian Zwick in the Panther\u2019s first ever win over the Rams.<\/span><\/p>\n Also on this same night back in \u201976, San Marino blew out El Monte 40-16 at home thanks in large part to quarterback Chris Houge who completed 10 of 15 passes for two scores going to Chip Diggins and John Sprein…This remains the only meeting all-time between the schools.<\/span><\/p>\n Santa Fe tangles with Bell Gardens tonight and because the Del Rio is way down the 605…and of course BG is the furthest outpost of the Almont…you don’t hear enough about these teams…But…<\/span><\/p>\n Both schools are playing well and part of Southeast Division.<\/span><\/p>\n The key three for the Chiefs are quarterback Alex Flores (712-passing yards, 5 Tds), the talented Cameron Oliver, and the extremely talented, two-way star, Andrew Jackson. So far this season Jackson has returned a fumble for a touchdown and caught three more for scores.<\/span><\/p>\n Bell Gardens is going to lean on the fast legs of Steve Ibarra and quick strike receiver Chris Gutierrez.<\/span><\/p>\n I like Santa Fe, but then again I liked\u00a0SF against Burbank in the first round of the playoffs last year.<\/span><\/p>\n Another school bumped against the edge of the Southern Section universe is Schurr. The Spartans have impressed everybody with their offense, but Ben Negrete’s defense is smashing ball carriers and only surrendering a little over eight points a game.<\/span><\/p>\n Last Add Almont: I expected Alhambra’s Brandon Wilson to get more touches on offense this season, but on defense he\u00a0is still\u00a0a beast.<\/span><\/p>\n Really Last Add Almont: The unsung Moor you need to know about is receiver Joseph Becerra.<\/span><\/p>\n Word is Arcadia quarterback Garrett Tuck is week to week after spraining his left ankle against Temple City. Sophomore Myles Carr will get the start for the Apaches tonight against Glendale.<\/span><\/p>\n
