On this date in 1999 San Gabriel defeated San Marino 24-10 thanks in large part to Fester Hout\u2019s 112 rushing yards, 58 of them coming on a fourth quarter dash to the end zone that secured the victory. The Titans were led by Andrew Starnes who ran the ball 21 times for 147-yards including a 42-yard scoring run in the second quarter. The Matador defense shined in the second half limiting Starnes and picking off SM quarterback Briton Burge three times (Carlos Mojica 2, Julian Hernandez 1). SG triggerman Simeon Morales went seven of nine for 104-yards.<\/p>\n

The victory snapped San Marino\u2019s 11-game winning streak against San Gabriel.<\/p>\n
