Arroyo 2013 SGV Shootout Champions<\/p><\/div>\n

(El Monte) – Arroyo beat Diamond Bar\u00a042-24 late Saturday\u00a0afternoon to win the SGV Shootout. The Knights\u00a0beat Crescenta Valley\u00a033-27 in the semi finals while Diamond Bar knocked off\u00a0Monrovia 33-9. It was the second time in the history of the Shootout that Arroyo has\u00a0won its own tournament.<\/p>\n

“It’s a lot of work but its great for the kids. It’s nice\u00a0to win it,” said Arroyo Coach\u00a0Jim Singiser.<\/p>\n

Arroyo was\u00a0led by returning senior quarterback\u00a0Nathan Coto who was on target all day. “He’s really coming around,”\u00a0said Arroyo assistant Dominic Salmon. “He’s stll learning some of his reads but he ‘s becoming a great leader. He looked great today.”<\/p>\n
