(Baldwin Park)- Baldwin Park’s quarterback Michael Moran threw for three scores and rammed another in on the ground, in the Braves 47-18 win over El Monte Friday night at Baldwin Park High School.<\/p>\n

The Braves scored on their first three possessions in the game making it 21-0 in the first quarter and at one point had a 34-0 lead before the half.<\/p>\n

*** At halftime Baldwin Park was up 34-6.<\/p>\n

*** El Monte’s Roy Barrajas (Soph) had seven catches for 152-yards a touchdown also had eight carries for 55-yards and a score, he was the lone bright spot for the Lions.<\/p>\n

*** Lions quarterback Adrian Cuevas went 16 of 33 for 278-yards, 2-touchdowns along with 3-interceptions and was sacked five times.<\/p>\n

*** Baldwin Park’s Moran completed 19 of 29 passes for 304-yards, 3-touchdowns and had 38-yards on the round and another score.<\/p>\n

*** Braves’ DB Julio Tinajero had two interceptions one he took to paydirt from 33-yards out.<\/p>\n

*** Baldwin Park’s WR\/DB Jayson Miller had an interception and a 75-yard scamper to the end zone on a reception from Moran.<\/p>\n

*** Braves’ running backs Christian Barazza and Hector Moran each scored touchdown on the ground.<\/p>\n

*** “Number seven Barrajas you’re going to hear about him for the next three years make a note of that.” – El Monte HC Joel Sanchez<\/p>\n

*** “He’s going to be a double “gee”, thousand rushing and receiving.” – Lions OC Brian Tabatabai on Barrajas<\/p>\n

*** El Monte travels to Ontario Christian next week, while Baldwin Park stays at home and looks to take back the Bell Trophy as they face cross-town rival Sierra Vista.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
