Los Altos QB Christian Hacegaba ran and passed for over 250 yards combined<\/p><\/div>\n

(El Monte) – Christian Hacegaba \u00a0ran for 153 yards and a touchdown threw for\u00a0104 yards and two scores\u00a0to lead Los Altos to a\u00a028-21 win over Arroyo Friday night at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium.<\/p>\n

Hacegaba had to be at his best to outduel Arroyo quarterback\u00a0Nathan Coto who\u00a0passed\u00a0for\u00a0280 yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n

***Arroyo led 14-13 at halftime\u00a0after Jose Valdivia\u00a0hauled in an\u00a0eight yard touchdown\u00a0pass from Coto with 1:37 left in the first half.<\/p>\n

The chair was on the Arroyo sideline in memory of Papa Singiser<\/p><\/div>\n

***Hacegaba had 15 carries\u00a0on the night. The biggest was a 70 yard run with 20 seconds left in the\u00a0first quarter to give the Conquerors\u00a0a 13-7 advantage.<\/p>\n

***Turnovers played a big part in the contest.\u00a0Los Altos fumbled the ball twice in the\u00a0red zone including a fumble by Tevita\u00a0Sina that was recovered by Arroyo defensive back Sonny Gonzalez in the end zone in the fourth quarter.\u00a0Coto was intercepted by\u00a0Estuardo Marcos.<\/p>\n

***With the score tied at 21\u00a0Yahshua returned a punt 58 yards for a touchdown in what proved to be the game winner.<\/p>\n

\"Arroyo<\/a>

Arroyo QB Nathan Coto threw for 280 yards and two scores and also ran for a touchdown.<\/p><\/div>\n

***The Knights got the ball with\u00a03:38\u00a0left in the contest and drove down to the Los Altos\u00a011. But on fourth and ten\u00a0with 29 seconds left\u00a0Coto was sacked and the\u00a0Conqs ran out the clock.<\/p>\n

***Arroyo receiver Nico Lozano\u00a0had three catches\u00a0for 189 yards that included an 84 yard touchdown\u00a0reception from Coto that tied the game at 21 in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

***Matt Hayashi complemented Hacegaba for\u00a0Los Altos with 12 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown.\u00a0Randy Amezcua was\u00a0Arroyo’s leading ground gainer with\u00a062 yards on 17 carries.<\/p>\n

***There was an empty beach chair on the Arroyo sideline\u00a0in memory of\u00a0Papa Singiser who passed away in December.<\/p>\n

***We\u00a0toughned up when it mattered most.\u00a0We really dug down deep when everything was on the line.\u00a0Jim (Arroyo HC Singiser) has some tough kids over there. I think they matched us physically,”\u00a0said Los Altos HC Dale Ziola.<\/p>\n

***I was pleased with our effort. But on a couple of possessions we came up\u00a0empty. Against a team like that you can’t afford to give up possessions,” Singiser\u00a0said.<\/p>\n
