Scoby scored on a 16 yard run with 10:04 to play to give Monrovia the lead.<\/p>\n<p>***Freshman Miles Bryant started at quarterback in place of the injured Deshawn Potts\u00a0and made history in the process. Bryant is the first quarterback in\u00a0Monrovia history to start as a freshman\u00a0for the varsity.<\/p>\n<p>***Scoby had 71 yards midway through the fourth quarter but finished with\u00a0188 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.<\/p>\n<p>***Bryant completed\u00a0two passes\u00a0and both went for touchdowns. He\u00a0only had seven attempts and also threw two interceptions. He threw a 20 yard TD strike\u00a0to Crayvon Gillespie and a 72 yard\u00a0touchdown pass to tight end Jacob Ramos.<\/p>\n<p>***Monrovia&#8217;s defense came up with three stands in the red zone holding San Dimas to just six points.\u00a0Trailing 13-7, San Dimas had a first down at the\u00a0Monrovia five-yard line after an interception and return by Erick Ware. The Monrovia defense held and\u00a0San Dimas ended up spiking the ball on fourth down.<\/p>\n<p>***Field goals by Ware\u00a0of 36 and 26 yards in the third quarter for San Dimas tied it at 13 before Scoby was unleashed.<\/p>\n<p>****Joseph Mayorga busted off a 47- yard run down to the Monrovia 26 yard line in the\u00a0fourth quarter.
