Of course as soon as we say that the Condors get three Del Rio League wins and a post season berth. Well if they do get three this won&#8217;t be one of them. La Serna is too talented, too deep and just too tough. Frankie Palmer and the Lancers open league with a win.<\/p>\n<p><b>La Serna 27 California 10\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Hacienda League\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Diamond Bar (5-1) at Los Altos (4-1) <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Diamond Bar 40-3 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Brahmas have stepped up this year to look like one of Hacienda&#8217;s best. Victories over Bonita and West Covina have put them right in the spotlight. Los Altos fell to a physical Diamond Ranch team. The Conquerors should rebound this week. Close game but Los Altos gets the much needed win.<\/p>\n<p><b>Los Altos 27 Diamond Bar 24\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Rowland (2-4) at West Covina (2-4)\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: West Covina 28-7\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs are struggling. This could be the cure for all that ails them. Rowland has fallen on hard times losing 59-0 last week to Bonita. In fact in the last four games, the Raiders have been outscored 153-35.\u00a0 West Covina gets back on track.<\/p>\n<p><b>West Covina 38 Rowland 7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Mission Valley League\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Gabrielino (4-1) at Arroyo (4-1)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Arroyo 28-0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>I think the theme for this one is \u201cAll the talking stops now.\u201d Both sides have been going at it on the boards. Gabrielino is saying \u201cit&#8217;s their time\u201d while Arroyo is countering with \u201cyou haven&#8217;t played anybody.\u201d Gabrielino puts up a fight but Arroyo comes away with the win. The Eagles will have trouble stopping Nathan Coto.<\/p>\n<p><b>Arroyo 31 Gabrielino 24\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Mt. View (3-2) at Rosemead (4-1) <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Rosemead 35-28\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>So is this the year? Is this the year Mt. View breaks through? Is this they year the Vikings crack the top three? If they&#8217;re going to it starts tonight. A win over Rosemead would go a long way towards that goal. Rosemead hasn&#8217;t played a tough schedule but the Panthers are 4-1. Also they have proven that they can score points. The Mead has enough to beat an upstart Viking team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Rosemead 28 Mt. Last year these two were battling for a league title and this year they&#8217;re both just trying to get on track after disastrous non league performances. South El Monte and El Monte have both lost four out of five. South has issues at quarterback and although the Lions do also, they&#8217;re supposed to have their transfer quarterback Edward Dominguez ready to play in this one. That and a couple of plays defensively should be enough. SEM has trouble stopping people.<\/p>\n<p><b>El Monte 31 South El Monte 17\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Olympic League <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Village Christian (2-4) at Maranatha (4-2) <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Village Christian 36-0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The scoreboard operator will be busy. Both teams are putting up numbers and both defenses have been shredded at times. Maranatha&#8217;s El Snyder and Jesse Hanckel love to throw the ball around the field but Hanckel could be out with an injury. Even without Hanckel the Crusaders can score. They win a shootout.<\/p>\n<p><b>Village Christian 38 Maranatha 35\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>San Gabriel Valley League\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Lynwood (2-3) at Downey (2-3) <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Downey 31-26\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The season starts for real now for Downey. The defending Southeast Champs aren&#8217;t going to slip against Lynwood. The Knights have given up over 40 points three times this year. Vikings roll.<\/p>\n<p><b>Downey 41 Lynwood 13 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Dominguez (3-2) at Paramount (3-2) <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: Dominguez 21-13\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Big game for both teams if they want to stay in the San Gabriel Valley hunt. Both have shown signs but have also stumbled. Paramount had a big win over Bellflower last week and is looking to keep it going. Tight, tense game but the Pirates get the win.<\/p>\n<p><b>Paramount 31 Dominguez 27\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Valle Vista League <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>San Dimas (2-4) at Baldwin Park (5-0)\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last Year: San Dimas 47-7 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Baldwin Park will finally be tested after a five consecutive victories. Last week&#8217;s six point win over a Nogales team that has struggled mightily was a surprise. Also the Braves only beat Gladstone by six. San Dimas is on a roll after an early season death march. The Saints have racked up 99 points in its last two games. It would be a bigger surprise if the Indians knocked off Muir. The Mustangs have been the same old Mustangs. They&#8217;re 5-1 with the only loss coming at the hands of powerful Alemany.
