(Arcata CA) – Terrell Watson\u00a0continued to run wild as he rushed for\u00a0279 yards on 37 carries to lead Azusa Pacific to a 21-13 road win over Humboldt State Saturday night. The Cougars\u00a0also beat Humboldt State 28-2 earlier this year\u00a0at Citrus\u00a0College to complete the sweep.<\/p>\n
The Cougars remained tied \u00a0at the top of the GNAC standings with the victory\u00a0improving to 5-1 in conference and 5-2 overall.<\/p>\n
Watson’s seven-yard TD run in the fourth quarter put the game on ice for APU.\u00a0Dasmen Stewart threw a pair of touchdown passes\u00a0for the Cougars.\u00a0He connected with Preston Van\u00a0Hofwegen on a 12 yard pass in the second quarter and hooked up\u00a0with Kevin Schick late in the third to give the Azusa Pacific a 14-10 lead.<\/p>\n
