After discussions with former Director of Football Operations, Jay Schroeder, it became clear that both Jay and the school were ready for a change. I am grateful for Jay\u2019s 3 season\u2019s of service to the school both in leading the football program and in supporting all facets of the athletic department.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div>The school indicates that an active search will be conducted after the Christmas break and a new coach to be in place by the end of January.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In three seasons, 2011-2013, Schroeder went 15-17 leading the Crusaders program including a 1-1 stint in the 2011 playoffs. He came to Village after serving as part of the Oaks Christian staff.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Predecessor Jeff Cortez stepped down after leading VC to the 2010 Mid-Valley Division semi-finals.
