The big plays have killed us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Down by 12 TC got a big play of its own when David Spratt on a bump and go route got open down the north sideline and hauled in Smith\u2019s perfect pitch for a 37-yard touchdown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">The gap closed to 26-21, Temple City had a shot to turn the game around on the ensuing kick-off when Andrew Tinsley\u2019s boot fell at about the 30 and took a big hop. In a scramble for the ball it was Ramirez who came up with the leather.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Three minutes, seven plays, 66-yards, and a fortuitous pass interference penalty on a third and seven, was punctuated by Derrick \u201cBubba\u201d Johnson\u2019s (10-65-yds) 2-yard blast into the end zone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Monrovia\u2019s Dujawn Jones put the ball back in his offense\u2019s hands when he picked off Smith on the next possession.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Two minutes later Ramirez (11-carries 145-yards) went 44-yards for his third touchdown. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">\u201cTemple City is a very good football team and they came to play tonight,\u201d said Maddox as his team improves to 2-0 in the Rio Hondo, 7-0 overall. \u201cWe have to get better every day, absolutely I\u2019m happy about tonight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Causing Maddox to smile was the play of his defense. Particularly along the front lines. The front four consisting of Grant Haggard, John Adams, Ellis McCarthy, and the not-so talkative Josh Lowden limited Ruckle to 76-yards on 12-carries. Only 29 after going for 47 on his first carry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">\u201cWe consider him one of the best players in the valley,\u201d said Maddox of Ruckle. \u201cWe were talking about him the whole week.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Following Ramirez\u2019s first touchdown, the Wildcats were still down 7-6 after TC\u2019s John Mendez blocked the point after. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">Bueno then led a six minute drive, stretching from the end of the first to the middle of the second, covering 93-yards on 14-plays which he capped with a 1-yard run.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">This was followed by the stunner of the game. On Temple City\u2019s next possession Smith, from the shotgun, threw a hitch to Andrew Torres. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px;\">The ball appeared to bounce off of Torres incomplete, but there was no whistle. Impossible because it was out of the shotgun formation.
