(El Monte) –\u00a0An estimated\u00a0crowd of over 3000\u00a0people\u00a0packed\u00a0the quad area at El Monte High School\u00a0Monday night to remember\u00a0Adrian Castro. Castro, a football player\u00a0at El Monte,\u00a0was killed last Thursday in a bus crash carrying students up to Humboldt State.<\/p>\n

South El Monte<\/p><\/div>\n

Students, coaches, faculty\u00a0and the even the mayor of El Monte addressed\u00a0the\u00a0crowd.\u00a0Coaches and football players from the rest of the Mission Valley League showed up\u00a0as well to pay their respects.\u00a0The players from Arroyo, Rosemead, South El Monte, Mt. View and Gabrielino\u00a0came in support of Castro wearing\u00a0their\u00a0football jerseys.<\/p>\n

News crews from Channel 2, 5, 7 and\u00a09\u00a0were on hand to cover the\u00a0memorial that started at 7:00 and well went past 9:00. Castro may be gone but in the hearts and minds\u00a0of the student body at El Monte he will be remembered forever.<\/p>\n
