(Monrovia) – Monrovia was joined by Covina and\u00a0Bell Gardens Tuesday to sling the ball around.\u00a0I thought they only had call centers in Brea but they have a football team too and\u00a0they showed up as well. Brea actually\u00a0didn’t look bad\u00a0but I got a Benjamin\u00a0that says they got caught in traffic on the 57 on the way home.<\/p>\n

Who looked best? The Monrovia Wildcats.\u00a0Don’t they always? They have\u00a0plenty of guys that can jump out of the gym\u00a0and\u00a0defensively they are fast and\u00a0can rally to the ball. If you haven’t seen Octavius Spencer yet make it a point too.\u00a0\u00a0Dude can ball. Asaph Zamora kind of brings it all together –\u00a0usually on target and\u00a0throws a good ball.<\/p>\n

Joe Benavides\u00a0looks like the guy at QB for Covina.\u00a0He didn’t have\u00a0any problem getting the ball there and is getting better with his reads.\u00a0“That will come with experience,” said an assistant. The Colts have some skill guys.<\/p>\n

Bell Gardens? I just don’t\u00a0know. The Lancers struggled\u00a0a little bit offensively and are breaking in a new quarterback.\u00a0BG always looks a lot better in helmet and pads.<\/p>\n
