(Creston, CA)- \u00a0The dream lives on.<\/p>\n

Mid Valley Sports staffer Joe Torosian continued is football comeback this week by participating in the Creston 7-on-7 Passing Tournament. He’s hoping to latch on at some point this season at any level.<\/p>\n

“Given what we’ve seen with transfers and the quarterback problems of the LA KISS, I think there might be a market for a traditional pocket passer like myself,” said Torosian in an interview after the Creston throw. It was a good day for him as he fired seven touchdown passes and had only one pick. “Truth is everyone is looking for that younger mobile quarterback, but I believe there is a place for a guy like me who can stand strong in the pocket and face a pass rush.”<\/p>\n

Others aren’t convinced.<\/p>\n

Calling out the plays at the line of scrimmage against some tough competition.<\/p><\/div>\n

“Joe has been asking me for a tryout at each of my coaching stops,” said current Buena Park OC Jude Oliva. “Truth is given his age, arm limitations, and his body type he doesn’t work with most of the passing schemes being employed today.”<\/p>\n

“We’ll pass,” said El Monte OC Brian Tabatabai.<\/p>\n

Arroyo HC Jim Singiser was a little more blunt; “He’s out of his f-bombing mind!”<\/p>\n

Torosian knows he has his critics, but continues to forge ahead.<\/p>\n

“I can play, and I’m going to keep pursuing it. I proved it to these young guys I lit up today.”<\/p>\n

When at his best, Joe likens his game and passing style to former Miami Dolphins hurler Don Strock.<\/p>\n
