Monrovia: 2014 SGV Shootout Champions<\/p><\/div>\n

(El Monte) – Monrovia beat Buena Park 27-15 in the Final to win the SGV Shootout Saturday at Arroyo High School. Asaph Zamora fired four touchdown passes in the championship game. Receiver Octavius Spencer was huge against Buena Park and throughout the tournament.\u00a0Los Altos and Crsecenta Valley rounded out the semi final teams but agreed not to play for third place.<\/p>\n

Asaph “Ace” Zamora led the Wildcats to the championship<\/p><\/div>\n

Host Arroyo was knocked out by Crescenta Valley and\u00a0Buena Park got by Arcadia on its way\u00a0to the final. Keppel surprised\u00a0some people\u00a0in the tournament only losing to Buena Park by three. First year Coach Steve Bogan had his Maranatha team out for the first throw\u00a0of the year.\u00a0South El Monte made some noise early and may surprise some this year in the MVL. Scott Morrison’s La Puente Warriors went 2-2. Here’s a few shots.<\/p>\n
