Combined both teams were 1-19 with Ontario beating Garey, 28-15. The Vikings haven\u2019t beaten the Jaguars in three straight meetings.<\/p>\n

There is a reason why this is always a must-watch game every year since 2009. Together the Wildcats and Saints have won the last five Mid-Valley Division titles. Both clubs have reached the semi-finals since this rivalry resumed in 2009. Monrovia has won four of their seven meetings.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats lose 2,700 yards on the ground with Kurt Scoby and DeShawn Potts graduating. San Dimas loses nearly 3,200 yards rushing as Joseph Mayorga and Fausto Martinez head to college.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the debut of Chris Stevens at Monrovia which may be the edge.<\/p>\n

The teams haven\u2019t met since the Spartans won 21-0 in a league game. That was then, this is now and the Tartans feature quarterback Matt Fink who threw for nearly 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Green Valley (0-0) (Henderson, NV) at Charter Oak (0-0)<\/b>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

The Chargers host perennial Sunrise Region power Green Valley that will feature one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Gators quarterback Christian Lopez (2nd team All State selection) passed for 3,455 yards and 34 touchdowns for a team that went 9-3. Charter Oak loses starting quarterback Kory Brown to graduation, but Zion Echols should improve on his 788 yards and nine touchdowns.<\/p>\n

In last year\u2019s meeting the Bulldogs handed the Titans one of their four losses of the season. West Covina\u2019s season ended last year to Southeast Division runner-up Norwalk. Colony does return Josh Thompson who finished last year with 2,202 and 21 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The Knights were 11-2, but lose quite a bit of offense with Nathan Coto graduating. Still it is Arroyo and they are always prepared for every game with Jim Singiser at the helm. San Marino returns Tenny McFarland who last season ran for 886 yards and seven touchdowns. This game could be a back and forth high scoring affair that might resemble Tecmo Bowl.<\/p>\n

Burbank (0-0) at Ayala (0-0)<\/b>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

High expectations in Burbank with James Williams leading the charge for a Pacific League title. Ayala is just looking to rebound after a 3-7 record. Ayala also lost six of its last seven games to end the season. Williams will be the factor in this game and Burbank should start the season off right.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t even close last season with South Hills defeating the Colts 48-7 to open the season. Again both teams open the season and look to establish early season momentum. Garrett Fonseca is the most experienced player for the Huskies who look to improve on last year\u2019s 5-6 record. Pearnell Smalley gained 1,069 last year as a junior and scored 18 touchdowns on the ground.<\/p>\n
