Some are thinking its time for Pasadena Poly to start getting some more recognition as a real threat. We agree but they\u2019ve only beaten one team (Brentwood) with a winning record thus far. Cantwell is just starting to cook, and then there is Shadow Hills. They are hot and it was a big win they got over Big Bear last week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.) Maranatha Minutemen, 9-0 (Olympic League): Have reached bye week to rest and prep for long time rival Whittier Christian.<\/p>\n

2.) Nipomo Titans, 6-3 (Northern League): While this is a really good football team, they are not beyond having a hiccup against Templeton.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.) Pasadena Poly, 8-0 (Prep League): Victory at RHP has left a lot of people impressed. The Panthers attack is simple but seemingly infinite in the variables.<\/p>\n

4.) Cantwell Cardinals, 7-1 (South Catholic League): Have climbed to the fourth spot. Even if it means running up the score a little bit, the Cardinals have to keep pressing and playing with an edge. See historic Duarte and Azusa teams that got burned for not doing it after dominant regular seasons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

5.) Arrowhead Christian Eagles, 8-0 (Ambassador League): You have to respect the Western Christian program…but you can\u2019t give up 48 and expect to make a move in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

6.) Shadow Hills Knights, 6-2 (De Anza League): The Shadow is increasing. Let\u2019s see how they finish because this story is just beginning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

7.) Templeton Eagles, 6-2 (Northern League): If you can\u2019t beat Morro Bay how do you beat Nipomo? The Eagles have had a week to think about it.<\/p>\n

8.) Big Bear Bears, 6-2 (De Anza League): Good team that got exposed and fell into Shadow.<\/strong><\/p>\n

9.) Heritage Christian Warriors, 5-3 (Olympic League): For little more than a half last week these guys were living the dream. Cannot have a let down this week against the Heralds.<\/p>\n

10.) Morro Bay Pirates, 4-5 (Northern League): Great team? No. Dangerous team? Absolutely.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Others (in no order): Valley Christian (5-3).Twentynine Palms (5-3), Linfield Christian (4-4), Verbum Dei (3-5), Mission Prep (3-5), Village Christian (4-4), Rio Hondo Prep (3-5).<\/p>\n
