The question was not who would be named\u00a0Southeast Coach of the Year.\u00a0It was who else? Crescenta Valley&#8217;s Paul Schilling won this in a landslide.\u00a0A real no brainer.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The Falcons went undefeated (14-0) rolling all the way to the Southeast Division title. After\u00a0finishing 8-2\u00a0in 2013\u00a0and being shut out of the playoffs, CV\u00a0was on a mission all year and\u00a0Schilling was\u00a0leading the charge. The Falcons\u00a0weren&#8217;t going to be satisfied with a Pacific League title or a playoff victory. It was championship or bust and Schilling was there all year to make sure they didn&#8217;t bust.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcons cruised through the regular season and were never threatened. The closest game was a 12 point win over Muir.\u00a0Some thought\u00a0they would wilt under the bright lights of the post season but Schilling and CV never missed a beat.\u00a0The Falcons routed Harvard-Westlake in the CIF opener and dispatched Paramount in round two.\u00a0La Serna was poised to knock them off but\u00a0Schilling&#8217;s crew\u00a0fought and battled and outscored the Lancers 41-36 in the semis.\u00a0They couldn&#8217;t beat Downey right? Well actually they could as the defense\u00a0stood up and the offense\u00a0did enough in a 21-14 win.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcons had the talent and the experience to win in 2014.\u00a0They just needed somebody t0 bring it all together and\u00a0keep them on point.
