But Gadsby had a change of heart.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->After missing spring and early summer workouts,\u00a0Gadsby spoke to head coach Paul Schilling\u00a0late in the summer and asked if he could rejoin the team.\u00a0Schilling welcomed him back but did advise Gadsby that he would have to compete for the starting quarterback job. Gadsby won the job that he excelled at in 2103 and the rest as they say is history.<\/p>\n<p>Gadsby took what he did last year and turned it up a notch.\u00a0He threw for\u00a03780 yards and 40 touchdowns&#8230;yeah 40. He averaged 270 yards per game.\u00a0Against Golden Valley in the second game of the season he threw for 441 yards and six touchdowns. His other monster game was against Glendale when he threw for 367 yards and five scores.\u00a0In the playoffs he racked up 310 against Paramount and\u00a0299 vs. La Serna. He threw 11 picks on the year but none in the CIF Final win over a physical Downey team &#8211;\u00a0 a game in which he managed perfectly. He had a quarterback rating of 117.9.<\/p>\n<p>With Gadsby chucking it all over the field, CV was a threat to score anytime from anywhere.\u00a0You knew he\u00a0was going to make\u00a0a big pass sooner or later, it was just a matter of when.
