Ryan Ocampo leads the Saints past Covina in overtime.<\/p><\/div>\n

(Covina) – San Dimas overcame\u00a0an early nine point deficit\u00a0and rallied to beat Covina 58-52 in overtime Friday night on the Colts home floor.<\/p>\n

Tied at\u00a050 after regulation, the Saints outscored the Colts 8-2 in the overtime period. Ryan Ocampo\u00a0and Omar Nasri each hit key buckets to help secure the victory.<\/p>\n

San Dimas took the lead 49-48 with 1:10 left in regulation\u00a0on a\u00a0basket by Ocampo.\u00a0The Colts missed the front end of one and ones on each of the next\u00a0two possessions and Ocampo hit one with 23 tics left for San Dimas for a 50-48 advantage. Gregory Hutchison was fouled with seven seconds left and knocked down both free\u00a0throws\u00a0to force overtime.<\/p>\n

San Dimas then sealed it \u00a0in OT. The Colts were hurt by an intentional foul and a technical foul\u00a0and the Saints salted it away.<\/p>\n

Covina got off to a fast start leading 19-10 after one. Andres Guevara hit consecutive threes, Hutchison had five and\u00a0Andrew Delatorre\u00a0hit a couple buckets inside.\u00a0San Dimas got to within five\u00a0at the half with Ocampo scoring six in the second quarter.<\/p>\n

San Dimas cut it to four by the end of three and then outscored the\u00a0Colts 12-8 in the fourth to get even.<\/p>\n

Nasri\u00a0(18) and Ocampo (17) did the bulk 0f\u00a0the work\u00a0for San Dimas combining for 35 points.\u00a0Hutchison led all scorers with 19 for Covina including 14 n the second half and overtime. Guevara and\u00a0Delatorre each had 11.\u00a0Guevara hit three from long range.<\/p>\n

The win was huge for San Dimas as the Saints moved into a tie in the Valle Vista with Covina at 5-3.\u00a0There is a four way log jam at the top of the league with Rowland (5-2) and Wilson (4-2) coming\u00a0 into play Friday night\u00a0also in the mix.<\/p>\n
