Cal QB Evan Barajas<\/p><\/div>\n

(Whittier) – Cal was\u00a0out Saturday in helmet and pads in temperatures\u00a0that reached triple digits.\u00a0 The Condors finished 6-5 last year\u00a0(3-2 in the Del Rio)\u00a0and fell in the first round of the playoffs to Downey.<\/p>\n

Cal RT Big John Vasquez<\/p><\/div>\n

They lost quarterback Adam Satti to graduation\u00a0but Evan Barajas is now at the controls and ready to lead. “He’s got a really good arm and is mobile too,”\u00a0said second year coach\u00a0Kyle Trudell.<\/p>\n

Barajas has a couple of good targets to throw including track star Ricky Rodriguez.\u00a0Robert Leos returns at running back\u00a0to stabilize the ground game. Gabriel Cosio will also get some work\u00a0carrying the rock. He broke\u00a0off a couple of big runs\u00a0Saturday in the heat at Pioneer. Cosio and\u00a0Leos will run behind a solid offensive line\u00a0that includes\u00a0Big John Vasquez at right\u00a0tackle who stands 6-6, 330.<\/p>\n

Second Year Cal HC Kyle Trudell<\/p><\/div>\n

Berto Arteaga will back up Barajas behind center.<\/p>\n

Cal will play\u00a0all of its home games\u00a0in 2015 at Dick Torres Memorial Stadium while its field is being renovated.\u00a0The Condors non league schedule:\u00a0Gahr, at Bell Gardens, at Pomona, San Marino, at San Dimas.<\/p>\n
