Maybe the best game of the weekend.\u00a0Guy Gibbs brings\u00a0experience back to the quarterback position for Burbank. Monrovia, as usual, looks loaded.\u00a0The Bulldogs might hang for awhile\u00a0but in the end\u00a0The Cats have too much.<\/p>\n

A win would mean a ton for either team.\u00a0Both\u00a0are coming off forgettable years and would like nothing better than to kick off the season with a victory.\u00a0Could be a struggle to score points\u00a0as the offenses try to find a groove.\u00a0Pasadena wins a close one.<\/p>\n

The Roddy Hiatt era begins at\u00a0El Rancho. The Dons lost a ton of talent but do return\u00a0enough to\u00a0rumble. Claremont\u00a0returns Duy Tran-Sampson.\u00a0It will be tall task to\u00a0stop Tran-Sampson and win on the road.\u00a0Claremont gets it done.<\/p>\n

La Mirada HC\u00a0Mike Moschetti likes to schedule up.\u00a0This is more than scheduling up.\u00a0St. John Bosco is just this side of the Green Bay Packers. The Matadores surprised last year with a couple of big wins\u00a0over top tier teams but they won’t get a W this time. Bosco is just too much.<\/p>\n

The Vikings couldn’t find anybody local?\u00a0Tough opener for Jack Williams’\u00a0squad. The Pirates went 11-2 last year and advanced to the semi finals where they fell to Carson.\u00a0We’ve been hearing a lot of talk out of\u00a0Downey. Now we’ll see what they have\u00a0right out\u00a0of the chute. San Pedro comes out with the victory.<\/p>\n

Gahr (0-0) at California (0-0) at Pioneer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dick Torres Stadium will see plenty\u00a0of action this year. With the field at Cal\u00a0 being renovated there will be games at Pioneer Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.\u00a0Cal has depth and some big boys up front.\u00a0The Condors also have\u00a0some talent at the skill positions. They should have enough to flatten Gahr.<\/p>\n
