(Glendora) – Matt Fink scored on a 10-yard run with 2:24 let in the fourth quarter to give Glendora a 29-24 win over Kaiser Thursday night at Citrus College.<\/p>\n

The Tartans were up 16-6 at the half and 23-6 in the third quarter before the Cats rallied thanks to the play of its offensive line and the home run hitting of running back Josh Johnson.<\/p>\n

Johnson broke off scoring runs of 33, 27, and 85-yards to give his team a 24-23 lead with 6:06 to play in the game. He finished with 259 yards rushing on 24 carries.<\/p>\n

Both teams traded punts before Glendora took over with time winding down. Fink, who wasn’t having the best night of his prep career, sub-500 completions and a pick-six in the first quarter, showed why he’s a star. The standout quarterback turned receiver and caught a 37-yard pass from Forrest Arffa that took the ball to the Kaiser ten. One play later he ripped through the center of the Cats defense for the go-ahead score.<\/p>\n

Kaiser pushed the ball past mid-field on its ensuing drive, but with less than thirty seconds to play the Tartans James Nolan picked off Joseph Zepeda to close the book.<\/p>\n
