La Salle has fattened up off of soft schedule but the Lancers did play a solid Bishop Diego team tough on the road. La Salle gets the W here. <b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>La Salle 42 Bellflower 21 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Friday September 25<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Cathedral (3-0) at Dorsey (2-2) (Rancho Cienega Park) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The critics have been on Cathedral to play somebody. They&#8217;ll finally get their wish Friday night. The Phantoms have been feasting so far but Dorsey is a different animal. The Dons however have taken its lumps the last two weeks, getting hammered last week by Alemany. Cathedral passes its first test.<\/p>\n<p><b>Cathedral 24 Dorsey 21 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>El Rancho (0-3) at Diamond Ranch (3-1) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Diamond Ranch started off slow but now has seemed to hit its stride. The Panthers have destroyed their last three opponents. Davion Gaisie has run for 360 yards in four games. El Rancho? Not this week. D-Ranch rolls.<\/p>\n<p><b>Diamond Ranch 35 El Rancho 17 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>West Covina (1-3) at Santa Fe (1-3) (Pioneer) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Santa Fe laid an egg last week; actually every week except Week One against South El Monte. West Covina is still smarting from a beating by Tesoro last week. The Bulldogs might take out some frustration on the Chiefs. Westco wins going away.<\/p>\n<p><b>West Covina 34 Santa Fe 7 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Downey (2-2) at Chino Hills (2-2) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Downey death march continues. Say what you will about Jack Williams but he likes to play with the big boys. Chino Hills, like Downey, is 2-2 but its losses have come vs. J Serra and Bishop Amat \u2013 no day at the beach. Vikes hang around but Chino Hills walks off with the win.<\/p>\n<p><b>Chino Hills 35 Downey 21 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Pacific League <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Muir (0-3) at Burroughs (2-1) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll finally find out where exactly Muir is. A loss here and it could be a long season for the Stangs. Burroughs has looked solid putting the wood on Rosemead and Santa Fe the last two weeks. If Muir can&#8217;t beat Burroughs what happens against CV or Burbank? Indians go to 3-1.<\/p>\n<p><b>Burroughs 31 Muir 21 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Burbank (2-1) at Crescenta Valley (2-1) (Glendale)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Not an easy test for either team to open the Pacific League. Both have been playing pretty good football. Burbank is 2-1 (1-2, forfeit) with wins over Monrovia and Canyon while the Falcons have easily knocked off Verdugo Hills and La Canada. There should be some points put up but CV is still Pacific King until somebody says otherwise. <b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Crescenta Valley 27 Burbank 24 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Suburban League <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Norwalk (1-3) at La Mirada (1-3) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>This is where we&#8217;ll see the benefits of a monster non-league schedule pay off for La Mirada. Norwalk hasn&#8217;t had any cupcakes either losing three of its first four. Make that four our of five.
