Both teams have improved since that game and the way these teams get physical, the noise from helmets and shoulder pads banging will be heard all through the valley. Rosemead will need to control the ball and the clock and contain Steven Comstock to have a shot.

Northview 35 Rosemead 24

Brentwood (Gold Coast at Large) at Pomona (Miramonte #1)

The Red Devils haven’t been challenged for a month and a half and will get a decent test with Brentwood. Outside of Sierra Canyon and Linfield Christian, the Eagles schedule hasn’t been any tougher than Pomona’s. The defending Mid Valley champs should take care of business.

Pomona 45 Brentwood 27

Viewpoint (Gold Coast at Large) at Montebello (Almont #1)

The Oilers have only lost one game this year and that was on the road against a Mid Valley Division stalwart. Zach Chulak can sling it for the Patriots and that gives them a chance. Montebello’s defense will need to be ready from the opening kickoff and the offense will need to have sustained drives.

Montebello 35 Viewpoint 34

Covina (Valle Vista at Large) at Arroyo (Mission Valley #1)

The Knights drew the short straw on which at-large team they would get.
