T-Minus-261 Days until \u201cThe Mid Valley Classic\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh, I have always been a Buckeye fan…ever since the days of Brian Baschnagel.<\/p>\n

Did you see the Trib\u2019s Fred Robledo sticking his recorder in Jim Tressel\u2019s face after the Rose Bowl… My first thought was, alright Fred went to the game… My second thought was, Dude looked better dressed than any other time I\u2019ve seen him…<\/p>\n

Give it up to Ohio State\u2019s Terrelle Pryor…he was very good yesterday…and I need to back off on my bagging on him… Its another case of not being anti the kid, but anti the hype.<\/p>\n

Looking at Jeremiah Masoli and the rest of the Oregon Ducks after the game, I got the distinct feeling they were just happy to be there…which is alright… However, by and large you only get one Rose Bowl game in your life…Shouldn\u2019t you want to win it?<\/p>\n

I saw my first Rose Bowl in January of 1974, I\u2019m still waiting to play in the Rose Bowl… And if I some how get transplanted back in time, with a different body, and humbler mindset than the one I had back in the day…I won\u2019t be happy to be there, I\u2019ll want to kill Ohio State…Michigan… or whoever…<\/p>\n

How can you just be happy to be there?<\/p>\n

When you go to Disneyland with your family, you\u2019re happy. When you go to a Dodger game and don\u2019t have to hear the name F.P. Santangelo, you\u2019re happy to be there…but if I make it to the Rose Bowl (provided the right Twilight Zone, Quantum Leap, moment comes along)…There\u2019s no way I\u2019m gonna smile, shake hands, and yuck it up with the team that just spanked me…<\/p>\n

Oregon was disappointing yesterday…<\/p>\n

….and Tim Tebow wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure current Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly watched the Sugar Bowl from home very proud of his decision…I understand business, I understand I\u2019ve said this before, but Kelly is a BUM…and those Bearcat players suffered the brunt of their former HC\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping Notre Dame a miserable 2010.<\/p>\n

Anyone want the job at Texas Tech?<\/p>\n

As an avid USC basketball fan, if you had told me the Trojans would win nine games this season I would have taken it…if you would have told me they\u2019d have nine wins, plus be 1-0 in league at this point of the season I would have said; \u201cAndy, shut up!\u201d<\/p>\n

Who needs Tim Floyd?<\/p>\n

Can somebody tell Corn Dawg its 2010, he might still be in a gym somewhere watching a tournament.<\/p>\n

You know that feeling you have right now…that feeling of conclusion…that feeling of things being over… Its created by a lack of local football… If you would jump on the bandwagon with me we could be looking forward to JV Spring Football starting in about six weeks…It would be awesome…but instead you would rather wait 253 days for the first Zero Week game.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m willing to compromise…Somebody tell me when they are going to have their first throw-around this off season and I\u2019ll be happy to come out take shots… I’m not done with football, sorry…<\/p>\n

Quite a few teams will be hitting the weights Monday…<\/p>\n

One thing to keep an eye on, with the holidays behind us, is we are entering the zone when the prep football coaches make decisions about moving on. Late January thru the end of March is generally the time frame for a coach to leave without serious questions. If he leaves after that window people start asking questions as to why…<\/p>\n
