Hall of Fame Los Angeles Rams defensive end Jack Youngblood turns 66 today.<\/p>\n

Some players need a couple hundred words to remind us what they did and what they went through\u2026<\/p>\n

Jack Youngblood needs no such effort\u2026He\u2019s Jack Youngblood. Probably best to let you describe to us your best memories of him.<\/p>\n

\nFive-time All-Pro
\nInducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001
\nFrom 1971 thru 1984 the Rams play 203 football games. Youngblood played in 202 of them. He started 187 of those games.
\nHe started 17 playoff games and registered 8.5 sacks, one pick six, and a fumble recovery.
\n\u2026We think you might know something about him playing on a broken leg during the 1979 playoffs\u2026<\/p>\n

John Turney of the Pro Football Researchers Association calculated that Youngblood accounted for 151.5 sacks in his career. Sacks did not become an official stat until 1982. In his final season, Youngblood had 9.5 of them.<\/p>\n
