(La Canada, Ca) \u2013 Pasadena Poly used a 15-0 run in the second quarter to take control of Prep League rival Flintridge Prep and stay undefeated in league play with a 64-41 win.<\/p>\n

Panthers (12-2, 4-0) guard Michelle Miller scored 15 of her game high 30 points in the second quarter to help lead Poly to a victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn that second quarter Michelle got on track,\u201d said Rebels coach Todd Frost.\u00a0 \u201cShe is an amazing player; you can only hold her down for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miller put on a clinic and showed why she is the third leading scorer in the nation with pop-and-stop 15-footers and a killer cross\u2013over dribble that had the Rebel defenders completely beaten.<\/p>\n

Flintridge Prep (15-5, 5-1) was in the ball game after the first quarter as they held Miller to just two points and was only looking at a three-point deficit.<\/p>\n

The Rebels then were hit with a double-dose of trouble as they went cold from outside and Miller scored at will in the second quarter.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur game from the start was to stop Megan Musashi and Deanna Watson,\u201d said Poly head coach Kim Weber.\u00a0 \u201cWe tightened up on Prep in the second quarter.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Watson made a three-pointer for Flintridge Prep, it was another five minutes before Kelsey Merchant made a three to stop the 15-0 run right before the half.<\/p>\n

The second half saw both teams exchange baskets in the third quarter as the Panthers continued to hold a 20-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n

The Rebels made a small run near the end of the game as they outscored Poly 8-2.\u00a0 The 14-point deficit was as close as Flintridge Prep would get as the Panthers scored the final nine points of the game.<\/p>\n
