The Galaxy got on the board in the 83rd minute on an own goal when San Jose’s Marvelle Wynne tried to redirect a cross and knocked it by keeper David Bingham. But LA couldn’t hold on when three minutes later Fatai Alashe used his head to deflect a cross by Brian Rowe to even things up. Three minutes of time were added but neither team was able to break the deadlock.

The Galaxy’s first opportunity came in the tenth minute when Robbie Keane headed a pass from Steven Gerrard toward the goal but it bounced high over the net.

Later in the half Rowe made a nice save on an attempt right in front of the net. A nifty move and pass by Giovani Dos Santos was broken up just outside the box in the 20th minute.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-53301" class="size-large wp-image-53301" src="http://midvalleysports.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/IMG_3081-587x768.jpg" alt="Daniel Steres and Chris Wondolowski have a meeting of the minds! At that point in the game we’re tied and we need to concentrate and take the three points and get out of here.”

The Galaxy ran their record to 5-1-5 with the draw while the Earthquakes are now 5-3-4.

By Tim Peterson (Carson) – The Galaxy and San Jose battled to a 1-1 tie in the California Clasico before a sold out StubHub Center crowd of 27,167 Sunday.

[25
10625,11893,11623,11020,10084,10131,11435,11895,11458,10083,10063,11896,272,10081,10581,10130,11382,10120,11894
post-53287","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-soccer","tag-alan-gordon","tag-alberto-quintero","tag-ashley-cole","tag-brian-rowe","tag-bruce-arena","tag-chris-wondolowski","tag-david-bingham","tag-fatai-alashe","tag-giovani-dos-santos","tag-gyasi-zardes","tag-la-galaxy","tag-marvelle-wynne","tag-mls","tag-robbie-keane","tag-robbie-rogers","tag-san-jose-earthquakes","tag-steven-gerrard","tag-stubhub-center","tag-yellow-card
["GET
