10.) On this day in 1944 Joe Nuxhall became the youngest pitcher in major league history at the age of 15. He retired one batter before giving up five runs and not being able to get out of the inning. He finished high school and then went on to be a successful pitcher with a 14-year career that began in 1952.<\/p>\n
