Donovan has six MLS Cup trophies\u00a0overall.<\/p>\n<p>Donovan, 34, said the opportunity arose very recently when the Galaxy had several\u00a0players injured during the Vancouver game two weeks ago.\u00a0Gyasi Zardes, Steven Gerrard and\u00a0Jelle Van Damme are all\u00a0out\u00a0with injuries and\u00a0Nigel de Jong signed with the Turkish club Galatasaray opening the door for\u00a0Donovan&#8217;s return.<\/p>\n<p>Donovan is also the Galaxy&#8217;s all-time leader in goals with 112, and assists with 107.<\/p>\n<p>The Galaxy is tied for second place in the Western Conference at 10-4-14 with six regular season games remaining.
