Rams went for 4-yards before Keeshonne Robinson carried a reverse 33-yards down the field. Moments later he scored on a 41-yard run but it was called back for holding.

On third and 17 from the Sam Marino 38, Schroeder went down the middle to Elijah Hall for 26-yards. Rams then broke through and scored a 12-yard run to paydirt.

The Titans after being pinned at their four on the kickoff began a final march. Blake Cabot drove the team completing passes to Beau Hobbie for 41-yards and Jacob Leftwitch 10-yards, and then back to Hobbie for 7-yards. Then with 15.2 seconds remaining he found Leftwitch on a slant. The receiver carried the ball to the five before he was hit and fumbled the ball.

M-Town’s Alex Marin recovered the ball and the game went to the Wildcats.

For the three and half quarters, the score was 7-6 in favor of the Titans.

Monrovia was getting killed by penalties and had two touchdowns called back. San Marino didn’t throw a pass in the first half, threw eight times in the second half, and kept pounding the ball to Michael Chan.

The senior running back was the offense for the Titans. Chan carried the ball 50 times for 243 yards and the game’s first touchdown. With 5:33 to play in the first half, Chan scored on a 1-yard run.

The Wildcats responded with 2:15 on the clock when Schroeder went down the middle to Elijah Hall for a 21-yard score. The extra-point was blocked.

In the third, Monrovia only had one possession and it ended on an interception.

Meanwhile, the Titans kept working Chan and eating clock. Finally after pushing to the Wildcats 16 with 6:48 to play they turned the ball over on downs. From there M-Town pieced together its game-winning drive.

By Joe Torosian (Monrovia)—Monrovia’s Maury Rams IV’s 12-yard run with 4:09 to play put the Wildcats ahead for good in a 14-7 victory over San Marino on Friday night.

[3

post-55927","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-high-school-sports
["GET
