Photo by Anne Cypress.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>(Sierra Madre) \u2013 La Salle took advantage of a depleted Blair line-up to advance to the second round of the Division 4-A CIF-SS playoffs with a convincing 75-53 victory.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It didn\u2019t take long for the sixth-seeded Lancers to take control of the game as Matt Nolan and Ian Schuler scored at will during a 16-6 run to end the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny time your big guy can step out and hit three\u2019s,\u201d said La Salle head coach Steve Goldstein.\u00a0 \u201cThe lane opened up for some drives early.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nolan, who led the Lancers with 19 points, scored 12 of his points in the first quarter, while Schuler added 10 in the opening stanza.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings knew they were in trouble early as they entered the game without the services of Jasper Cobb and Marcus Bagnerise who were academically ineligible.<\/p>\n<p>Blair\u2019s Ceandre Dade led all scorers with 26 points and filled in admirably in the absence of the high-scoring pair.\u00a0 Marsalis Ellison also stepped in to score 15 points for the Vikings.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5641\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-5641\" href=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/?attachment_id=5641\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5641\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5641\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/MG_4453-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5641\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La Salle&#39;s Ian Schuler (22) helped the Lancers jump out to a quick lead.
