They should have been left shipwrecked with a second round loss to La Serna\u2026But that\u2019s only if you subscribe to logic\u2026LM\u2019s comeback last week defies logic therefore trying to assess them by merely looking at stats, record, and schedule is risky\u2026It boils down to this\u2026HC Mike Moschetti always has a next man up\u2014even if it\u2019s a sophomore kicker\u2014but is Tristan Meyer healthy? The quarterback has had a big year and has the grit to deal with the worst of storms. If he\u2019s ready to go\u2026the Mats have a shot.<br \/>\n\u2026If he\u2019s not\u2026then they\u2019re going to need to conjure up another miracle.<br \/>\n<strong>La Mirada 27 Los Alamitos 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Division 4\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sierra Canyon (11-0) at Charter Oak (11-1) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both teams won 11 games despite having injuries to their starting quarterbacks.\u00a0The Sierra Canyon offense revolves around Bobby Cole who rushed for over 1800 yards\u00a0and 24 touchdowns.\u00a0Charter Oak receivers\u00a0Brian Casteel and Jermaine Braddock combined for over 17oo yards.\u00a0Casteel rushed for 708 yards as well.\u00a0Both teams can score but the\u00a0Chargers can be stopped by a physical defense &#8211; Los Altos held them to seven points.\u00a0It should come down to who makes a big play in the fourth quarter but in the end Sierra Canyon has just a little too much. Blazers stay unbeaten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sierra Canyon 27 Charter Oak 20\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wilson Long Beach (10-2) at Los Altos\u00a0(12-0) \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Conquerors are on a mission.\u00a0They haven&#8217;t lost all year and they aren&#8217;t about to now.\u00a0Two years ago\u00a0they played\u00a0in the CIF Final game in the Central Division and lost. This year they&#8217;re raising the banner.\u00a0Los Altos advances to Final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Los Altos 27\u00a0 Wilson Long Beach 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>**\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Division 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don Lugo\u00a0(10-2) at Burbank (9-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0went against the Bank\u00a0last week and we were\u00a0proven wrong.\u00a0The Bulldogs got it done\u00a0offensively and\u00a0defensively\u00a0rallying to beat a solid opponent in Northview.\u00a0Greg Gano, in his first year\u00a0at Don Lugo has the Conquistadores in the semi finals after winning the Mt. Baldy League. They have beaten several quality opponents\u00a0like Colony and\u00a0Chino. Don Lugo\u00a0did fall to Northview 35-28 in September. We won&#8217;t be fooled again.\u00a0Burbank advances to first\u00a0CIF Final ever.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burbank 28 Don Lugo 24\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division\u00a011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Montebello\u00a0(11-1) at Valley View (9-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Valley View hails from the\u00a0Inland Valley League\u00a0where it finished\u00a0in second place and went 9-3 overall.\u00a0The Eagles can score racking up 77 and 69 points in consecutive weeks.\u00a0The Oilers\u00a0had trouble scoring last week finding the end zone just twice\u00a0including the game winner in overtime.\u00a0They&#8217;ll have to be a little more efficient\u00a0on offense\u00a0to advance. The defense has been pretty solid and it will need to\u00a0be again to hold down Valley View.\u00a0Montebello\u00a0survives the drive to out to Moreno Valley\u00a0and the\u00a0Eagles high scoring offense. In the end the Oilers will be the last team standing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Montebello\u00a035 Valley View\u00a031\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division 12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Segerstrom (11-1) at Arroyo (11-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Where is Segerstrom? What is Segerstrom? Did anybody know this school exists before now? \u00a0Segerstrom\u00a0finished second in the Golden West League,\u00a0losing only to Santa Ana, a team that is still alive\u00a0in the playoffs. So we know they can play. &#8220;They&#8217;re big and physical &#8211; about what you&#8217;d expect for this time of year,&#8221;\u00a0said Arroyo HC Jim Singiser. Meanwhile the Knights seemed to have\u00a0hit their peak at the right time.\u00a0The offense has\u00a0scored 90 points in two playoff games and after some early game struggles against Schurr, the defense settled in. It won&#8217;t be a walk over\u00a0&#8211; a semi-final game rarely is.\u00a0But the Knights have enough\u00a0to get to the big game. Arroyo&#8230;close.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arroyo 30 Segerstrom 27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>**<\/p>\n<p><strong>Division 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rancho Christian (10-2) at South El Monte (11-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Its been a great run for South El Monte.\u00a0Back in August, who predicted that the\u00a0Eagles would be playing the day after Thanksgiving?
