La Mirada needs another leader. It will be good for the school and good for me,&#8221; Moschetti said.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In his nine seasons, including his first two sharing HC duties with Ollie Lynch, Moschetti compiled a 79-34 record and a pair of CIF titles. Last year Moschetti led the\u00a0Matadores to not only a CIF Southeast Division title with a win over La Serna but the State championship as well with a victory over Campolindo\u00a0(Moraga).<\/p>\n<p>This past season La Mirada went 11-3 overall but fell in the CIF\u00a0Division 3 Championship game to Edison 44-24.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just feel at times we were getting complacent this year.\u00a0I love the kids, love the school, but kids get tired of hearing the same old tired things I say and do.\u00a0This will be a spark\u00a0to take this program to the next level. I&#8217;m so grateful\u00a0for everything the school has done for me &#8211;\u00a0the teachers, the administration, they have been incredible\u00a0and we wouldn&#8217;t be where we are today without my former coach and AD Kim Brooks,&#8221; Moschetti added.<\/p>\n<p>Moschetti will still be on campus and helping with college recruiting.\u00a0La Mirada now begins the search for a replacement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Mirada Head coach\u00a0Mike Moschetti\u00a0stepped down Tuesday after nine seasons. &#8220;It was just the right time.
