SEM HC Frank Gallardo isn’t going to Los Altos<\/p><\/div>\n

(South El Monte) –\u00a0South El Monte Head Coach\u00a0Frank Gallardo\u00a0wants the truth to be known.\u00a0He wants to dispel all the rumors.\u00a0He is not going to Los Altos! \u00a0<\/p>\n

“I have not applied for\u00a0the Los Altos job.\u00a0I’m not a finalist, I’m not interested in the job,” Gallardo said Thursday. “I’m happy at South El Monte. There’s people out there talking nonsense.\u00a0I’m now getting phone calls all the time saying ‘Is it true?\u00a0Is it true? All these guys are saying these nonsense things.”<\/p>\n

Despite rumors and\u00a0blogging to the contrary Gallardo isn’t leaving South El Monte. And really, why would he be?\u00a0In his second year at South he is coming off of a season in which he led the Eagles to an 11-2 overall record and a trip to the CIF Division\u00a013 semi finals.\u00a0For South El Monte\u00a0it was its best year since 2005.<\/p>\n

He’s got the Eagles back on track and improvements\u00a0to the on campus facilities\u00a0are also on the way. Unfortunately\u00a0in the football coaching world\u00a0with success comes rumors that\u00a0you are looking for bigger and better things. So when Dale Ziola stepped down at Los Altos last month the speculation started\u00a0that Gallardo was ready to move.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0the coach rumored to be leaving is silent\u00a0that usually means\u00a0that a move is coming.\u00a0In this case Gallardo wasn’t silent. He wants everybody to know. He’s not going anywhere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
