(Pasadena) –\u00a0Bryce Hamilton\u00a0scored 29 points and Darius Brown\u00a0II\u00a0tossed\u00a0in 26 to lead Pasadena to\u00a0a 75-66 win over Peninsula Friday night at the Dog House to advance to the Division 1A Finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hamilton\u00a0and Brown scored from\u00a0inside, outside and\u00a0at the free throw line\u00a0combining for 55 of the team’s 75 points. Brown\u00a0hit five three pointers including three in the third quarter as the Bulldogs extended their lead.\u00a0Hamilton\u00a0scored 14 points in the first half\u00a0doing a majority of his damage down in the paint.<\/p>\n

Both players\u00a0were continually sent to the charity stripe in the fourth quarter as Peninsula tried\u00a0to get back in the game\u00a0but they were up to the task knocking down 12 from the line.<\/p>\n

Brown had eight points in the first quarter including a pair of threes\u00a0and Hamilton had six as PHS jumped out to a 20-11 lead.<\/p>\n

Peninsula warmed up in the second quarter as it began to cut into the lead.\u00a0Wony’a Singleton knocked down a three\u00a0and Jordan Gazdik scored eight points in the quarter\u00a0as the Panthers\u00a0outscored Pasadena 22-17 in the second to cut the Bulldog advantage to 32-29\u00a0at halftime.<\/p>\n

Pasadena opened up the third\u00a0quarter with a 9-2 run to extend the margin\u00a0to ten.\u00a0Brown\u00a0buried\u00a0two from long distance and Jesse\u00a0Watkins also found the net from the land of plenty\u00a0during the blitz. The\u00a0Dogs outscored Peninsula 22-17 in the third to gain control with an eight point lead.\u00a0Brown had nine in the third and Darius Mason\u00a0added six.<\/p>\n

The fourth quarter was\u00a0a parade to the free throw line for\u00a0Pasadena\u00a0and\u00a0Peninsula couldn’t get over the hump.<\/p>\n

Mason was the only other Bulldog in double figures with 10 and Watkins\u00a0finished with five. Brown\u00a0also dished out\u00a0six assists and Hamilton pulled down eight boards to go with his game\u00a0high 29.<\/p>\n

For Peninsula Gazdik led the way with 19 and Singleton hit three treys and had\u00a018. Godbold tossed\u00a0in 16.<\/p>\n

Now Pasadena gets a trip to the Honda Center next weekend to take on Harvard-Westlake in the Final.\u00a0The date and time to are to be determined.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
