1. Junior center\u00a0Thomas Welsh and\u00a0sophomore guard Aaron Holiday of UCLA\u00a0are both declaring for the NBA draft but neither player has hired an agent leaving the door open for a possible return to college.\u00a0This\u00a0brings the number\u00a0of UCLA players to declare\u00a0to five.<\/p>\n

2. Oregon sophomore guard\u00a0Tyler Dorsey, who\u00a0also played at Maranatha High School, has declared for the NBA draft and hired an agent.<\/p>\n

3. San Diego State head coach Steve Fisher\u00a0has retired. Fisher guided the Aztecs to the Sweet 16 in 2011 and they reached the NCAA tournament a school record six consecutive seasons under Fisher. Fisher\u00a0led\u00a0Michigan to the NCAA\u00a0championship in 1989 as\u00a0an interim coach.<\/p>\n

4. Spike Dykes, who\u00a0coached\u00a0Texas Tech to its only Cotton Bowl appearance when the game was reserved for the Southwest Conference champion,\u00a0passed away at the age of 79.<\/p>\n

5. LA Kings HC Darryl Sutter and GM Dean Lombardi were fired\u00a0Monday. Luc Robitaille was promoted to team President and Rob Blake will become vice president and GM.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0The Los Angeles Clippers have won\u00a0six\u00a0straight to\u00a0move into a tie with the Utah Jazz\u00a0for fourth place in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

9. San Francisco Giants catcher\u00a0Buster Poser is on the seven day\u00a0concussion DL after taking\u00a0a fastball in the head\u00a0Monday.<\/p>\n
