I had a column set and ready to go after the NFL Draft\u2026But I hated the Los Angeles Rams picks so much that I had to decompress for three weeks\u2026But\u2026While I might not have liked the draft if they help get the Rams to the playoffs\u2014or at least beyond 7-9 bolshoi\u2014then Jimmy Crack Corn And I Don\u2019t Care!<\/p>\n

What schools would you like to see in a CIF final? Regardless of divisions, what schools would you like to see? Back in the day I always wanted to see San Dimas play West Covina\u2026<\/p>\n

I can say this\u2014barring a clerical error or administrative interferences\u2014when South El Monte goes to B.L. Bergstrom on October 6 to play Arroyo it will feel and appear like a CIF final\u2026kinda-sorta, like a \u201cFate of The World\u201d game\u2026<\/p>\n

Really Last Add El Monte:<\/strong> Some school in need of a varsity baseball coach next year ought to give Steve Urena a call\u2026Of course, he\u2019s kind of a one-trick pony\u2026All he does is win\u2026But winning doesn\u2019t seem to be a priority in most places these days.<\/p>\n

Lessoned learned the last two weeks\u2014in my on-going war against the Dodgers while supporting the Mets\u2014is that it\u2019s a lot easier to talk trash when your team is winning.<\/p>\n
