St. Francis 9 Alhambra 1<\/p>\n

Ethan Bramschreiber of St. Francis picked up his second win of the season going 6 innings to beat Alhambra 9-1 in the Arcadia Elks Final on the Moors\u2019 home field. St. Francis improved to 5-0 overall while Alhambra dropped to 4-1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gabrielino 8 San Gabriel 0<\/p>\n

Angel Acosta, Jonathan Montoya, and closer Brendan Campbell combined for a no hitter, to lead host Gabrielino over San Gabriel. The Eagles, (1-4), ended their woeful 0-4 start by throttling a porous defense for five runs in the second and three in the third before settling for an 8-0 shutout in the Arcadia Elks consolation final game.<\/p>\n

Glendora 3 Northview 1<\/p>\n

Glendora pitcher Jacob Cage issued a leadoff bomb to Northview’s Tyler Grijalva but shut out the Vikings the rest of the way in a 3-1 victory. Cage worked his way out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth to keep Glendora on top. Joseph Winterburn took over in the seventh and gave up a leadoff single but clinched the Glendora win by striking out the side to earn the save. Cage fanned eight batters out and the hurlers combined for 11 strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Eddie Pedroza carried a one (unearned) run no hitter into the fifth and went all the way in the loss, scattering five strikeouts, three runs, and five hits.<\/p>\n

The aptly named Woody (Joseph) Woodward slugged what proved to be Glendora’s game winner in the sixth with no outs by drilling a 2 RBI double down the left field line.<\/p>\n

Crescenta Valley 2 Bonita 1<\/p>\n

Sophomore Nate Rousey fired a complete game four hitter with five strikeouts for Crescenta Valley to beat Bonita 2-1. KC Huth belted a solo bomb with two outs in the seventh to make things interesting, but Rousey got the final out on a fly ball to left field.<\/p>\n

Senior catcher Joe Sedano led off the CV first with a walk and later scored on a Troy Mulcahey single. Another sophomore, Elliott Surrey, provided the Falcons’ second run on a solo homer in the third inning.<\/p>\n
