The Falcons did it on the ground and through the air en route to a 38-8 win over the Mustangs in Pacific League action.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>CV got the ball the to start the game and went on a 10 play march that covered 59 yards to get on the board. Joe Suh got the call on a nine yard run to cap the drive. The drive was aided by a call on the Mustangs for roughing the punter.<\/p>\n<p>A few minutes later the Falcons had a chance to get on the board again when the Mustang&#8217;s Brian Love tripped on a punt attempt at his own 25. CV couldn&#8217;t manage much in the way yardage and Chris Wood came on for a 34 yard field goal attempt but the kick sailed wide.<\/p>\n<p>The Falcons maintained<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_61205\" style=\"width: 570px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-61205\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61205\" src=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640.jpg 560w, http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640-61x70.jpg 61w, http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640-263x300.jpg 263w, http:\/\/midvalleysports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3990-560x640-131x150.jpg 131w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-61205\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brian Erickson and the Falcon defense bottled up the Mustang offense.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>their seven point advantage through the rest of the first quarter and into the second. With 9:45 left in the second period Suh scored again on a four&nbsp; yard run. Wood added the extra point for the 14-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Suh got his third touchdown of the half to finish off a four play 41 yard drive. Suh&#8217;s touchdown came off a screen from Cole Doyle who found Suh on a screen pass. Suh did the rest going untouched 35 yards to paydirt. Suh finished the night gaining 117 yards on 16 carries with two scores on the ground and another 48 yards receiving with another score.<\/p>\n<p>A 47 yard pass from Doyle to Tyler Lobianco and a 20 yard field goal from Wood capped the first half scoring barrage for the Falcons.<\/p>\n<p>On the scoring drive Muir head coach Antyone Sims received his second unsportsmanlike conduct foul and was ejected from the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Mustang offense was stifled by the Falcon defense and was unable to put together sustained drives for the entire first half.<\/p>\n<p>The third quarter saw no scoring from either teams and it wasn&#8217;t until 10:38 on the clock in the final frame that CV got on the board again.&nbsp; Doyle got his second touchdown pass on the night on a three yard strike to Jordan Nelson.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams brought on substitutions in the waning minutes of the game and Muir was finally able to get on the board. Tyquise Solomon got the score on a keeper from nine yards away. The drive was highlighted by a 50 yard bomb from Solomon to Nick Moore. Moore was one of the few bright spots on a tough night for the Stangs.
