Arcadia can also take second with a victory and gain some huge momentum heading into the playoffs. There will plenty of points put on the board but most of them will be courtesy of the Falcons. Arcadia is good but CV is just better. Their offense is too much for the Apaches to handle. These two have been on a collision course since August. Both teams can score and also have quick athletic defenses. Both teams destroyed everybody else in the Angelus League. Ironically both teams beat St. Paul by the identical score of 24-7 and they both dropped 49 on La Salle. You can probably flip a coin to decide the winner. The Golden Knights are at home, and that’s big in this game, and it just seems like it’s their turn. Cathedral leads early in the fourth but St. Francis rallies late to get the win. The Angelus is golden.

St. Francis 28 Cathedral 24

**

Hacienda

Los Altos (7-2) at Diamond Ranch (6-3)

Last Year: Los Altos 29-13

Second place is on the line in the Hacienda. It could be a big game especially when it comes down to playoff seedings. Los Altos beat West Covina last week but it was a fight until the fourth quarter. Earlier this year D Ranch gave Charter Oak all it wanted. Both teams are physical and it should be a hard hitting game. It could go either way but on paper the Panthers look stronger. Nogales is a team flying under the radar coming in 8-1 at overall. Last year Azusa derailed the Nobles on their way to the post season. Nogales is looking for a little payback. It could come down to who makes a big play late. Nogales has to rally but gets it done in the fourth quarter. Anything can happen in a game like this. Burroughs has been up and down coming into the game at .500 while Burbank is on the verge of running the Pacific League table. The Indians will come out pumped and ready to rock looking to upset the Burbank apple cart. But in the end the Bulldogs will have too much. The Bank finishes off a perfect year in league in Head Coach Adam Colman’s first season.

Burbank 27 Burroughs 13

**

Muir (5-4) vs. Pasadena (2-7) – Turkey Tussle (Rose Bowl)

Last Year: Muir 18-6

Pasadena is playing for pride only. The Bulldogs are already making plans for next season with a 2-7 record under their belt. However they could throw a wrench in Muir’s season by knocking off the Mustangs in the annual Turkey Tussle. Muir can finish no higher than fourth in the Pacific but with a win over Pasadena and a 6-4 record the Stangs could be in line for a playoff berth. Pasadena may make it interesting for awhile but Muir should make enough plays to get the win. If you have some free time this Friday night and want to see some quality high school football make the drive out to Lancaster to see the Trailblazers and the Spirits battle for supremacy. Both teams have rolled through their Gold Coast Leagues. Sierra Canyon lost to Westlake Village back in Zero Week while Paraclete fell to Oaks Christian in Week Two. Both teams are powerhouses.
