(Glendora) – Jerry Lewallen stepped down as the head football coach at Glendora Wednesday after six seasons sources confirmed.<\/p>\n
Lewallen guided the Tartans to the second round of the CIF Division 4 playoffs this past season before falling to Murrieta Mesa 54-20, finishing 8-4 overall.<\/p>\n
Lewallen went 43-25 during the six-year run missing\u00a0 the playoffs just twice in that span. Glendora’s best year in the Lewallen era was 2015 when the Tartans went 11-2 and advanced to the CIF semi finals before falling to Charter Oak 28-14. They also lost to the Chargers in the first round of the playoffs in 2016.<\/p>\n
Glendora spent the first two years under Lewallen in the Baseline League moving to the Palomares in 2014.<\/p>\n
