(Photo by Duane Barker).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By Tim Peterson<\/p>\n<p>(Pasadena) &#8211; Pasadena jumped out to a 20 point lead at the half and rolled to a 77-47 rout of Loyola Friday night at Marshall High in the second round of the CIF Division 1 playoffs. And it wasn&#8217;t that close.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ironically the Bulldogs outscored the Cubs 25-15 in each of the first two quarters to lead 50-30 at the break. Pasadena was just too quick, too athletic and too long for Loyola and it started showing as early as the first quarter. Tavian Percy and Darius Brown II each had seven points in the first and Bryce Hamilton added five.<\/p>\n<p>James Keefe, the Cubs&#8217; 6&#8217;8&#8243; forward, gave the Dogs a few problems early scoring eight points down in the paint, but they kept him in control the rest of the way.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton, the UNLV Commit, tossed in ten more in the second quarter and Percy threw down a dunk that rattled the entire City of Roses, as the Bulldogs opened it up by 20. (Photo by Duane Barker).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pasadena went on a quick 7-0 to open the third quarter, with Hamilton getting five of them, the lead was suddenly 27 and basically that was all she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Head Coach Tony Brooks was able to empty his bench in the the fourth quarter and begin to think about the next round.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton led all scorers finishing with 28, Brown had 16, Percy 13 and Darius Mason added five. Omari Moore contributed seven off of the bench. Keefe led Loyola with 17 but he was the only Loyola player in double figures. Brown and Hamilton each had two.<\/p>\n<p>Next up for Pasadena is a road game against Damien Tuesday night.
