Former Maranatha\/ Azusa Pacific quarterback Andrew Elffers has signed with the Samsung Frankfurt Universe- a power house in the Germany Football League.<\/p>\n

Elffers played his first game last Saturday with Frankfurt and his next game is Saturday June 16.<\/p>\n

Elffers starred in high school at Maranatha before going on to play at Azusa Pacific where he was the full time starter over the majority of the last two years.<\/p>\n

“The competition is fairly good over here. There’s a lot of NFL bounce backs,” Elffers said. “My first game playing was for their mid season championship called the Euro Bowl.”<\/p>\n

For Elffers it’s an opportunity to continue playing the sport that he loves.<\/p>\n
