The Panthers added another touchdown run, when QB Ivan Ostry scored on a 64 yard sprint with 4:33 remaining in the opening period. This would prove to be the extent of the scoring for the Rosemead Panthers.<\/p>\n<p>El Monte\u2019s \u201cDouble-Wing\u201d Offense proved to be too much for Rosemead, as the Lions ran it to near perfection. Junior Running Back Davon Booth, the Lion\u2019s \u201cWeapon of Choice\u201d for the evening, had a hand, or foot, in all of El Monte\u2019s scoring. Booth ran for six touchdowns, scoring on runs of 1, 24, 44, 58, 60, and 72 yards. In addition, Booth was on the receiving end of a 45 yard TD pass from QB Joseph Herrera. If that weren\u2019t enough, Booth converted five 2-Point PAT attempts. Davon finished the evening with 369 yards from scrimmage\u2026324 rushing and 45 receiving.<\/p>\n<p>Next week finds both of these teams with a bye. Rosemead\u2019s next game is 9\/28, when the Panthers will travel to Arroyo to battle the Knights. On that same evening, the Lions will host the Mountain View Vikings.
