Jimenez hit Damion Thompson on a 37-yard touchdown strike on the second play from scrimmage. After a San Dimas fumble the Vikes struck again. The Jimenez – Thompson connection worked again this time for 57 yards as Thompson got behind the San Dimas secondary, hauled in Jimenez’ pass in stride and strutted in for the score.

Northview put together a 10-play, 64-yard drive. This time it was Deshon Thompson who did the honors grabbing a 20-yard bullet from Jimenez for a 21-0 advantage.

San Dimas quarterback Dylan O’ leary was sacked on the next series the ball popped loose, and Noah Torres scooped it up and 60 yards later scored for the four touchdown lead.

The Vikes took that margin into the half.

San Dimas tried to get back into the game in the third quarter marching 54 yards on just four plays. Nick Cuda busted off a 45-yard touchdown run for the Saints’ first score.

Northview fumbled the ensuing kickoff and San Dimas was in business again on the Viking 20-yard line. But O’leary was picked off by Noah Coleman inside the ten yard line stopping the threat. The Saints best chance of the night went down with it.

Early in the fourth, San Dimas had one last murmur of protest. Matt Sloan finished off a 60-yard drive with a 17-yard jaunt to cut the lead to 28-14. That was the last time the Saints scored.

Northview iced it with 3:21 left on another Damion Thompson TD reception. This time Jimenez found him for a 24-yard score.

For Northview Jimenez completed 8 of 14 for 162 yards and four touchdowns. Damion and Deshon Thompson combined for seven catches for 155 yards and four touchdowns.

Cuda rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for San Dimas. O’leary competed just two passes for 17 yards and the interception.

“It feels great. We finished 10-0,” said Northview head coach Marcel Perez. “This is what we were all working for. They (San Dimas) have a great program over there. This is a great win.”

San Dimas finished the regular season 8-2 overall and second in the Valle Vista. Both teams will now await their playoff opponents to be announced Sunday.

By Tim Peterson (San Dimas) -Northview jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and went on to beat San Dimas 35-14 Friday night on the Saints home field.

[12816
7643,7742,6196
post-65252","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-hsfootball","tag-northview-football","tag-san-dimas-football","tag-valle-vista-league
["GET
